No more free school bus

The NSW government has announced it would like to revoke the free travel entitlement that most schoolkids have enjoyed since 1968 (as long as you lived more than 3km from your school), and charge most parents around $400 a year per child for a student travel pass. It seems many people are somewhat up in arms over this mooted change, and predictably many media outlets are innanely parroting the “it’s another blow for battling working class aussie families” line.

If you can’t afford the expenses associated with raising a child… don’t have one. Simple. Thoughts?

  1. You obviously do not have children!!!

  2. Indeed I don’t, however that fact is irrelevant to the point made/suggested, which you have not addressed.
